Peacock

This was a weird movie to watch. It had an interesting setup but in the end I felt it came up short. It had a lot of potential to be a very good movie. That being said, you might want to watch it anyways because the acting was good. I might just be too harsh on the movie, but that's just the way I feel.

There were many mixed reviews on this film from both extremes of loving it and hating it. I was really in the middle.

Netflix summary:

When a train jumps the tracks and crashes into John's backyard, his neighbors discover a confused woman named Emma milling about. They rush to aid the woman they assume is John's wife, but their efforts prompt John to descend into psychosis. Only Maggie (Ellen Page), a young mother, seems to know the truth behind his bizarre behavior.

Whip It

This movie directed by Drew Barrymore comes across as a good indie movie. Ellen Page is a great talented young actress. The movie was funny at times as we watch the main character figure out what she wants to do in life.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I watched this movie. I was pleasantly surprised. Get some popcorn and enjoy it.
